At Bali Eco Stay, we deeply value the connection between the food on our plates and the   energetic exchange between ourselves and the earth. As passionate advocates of farm-to-table permaculture, we prioritize sustainable, local agriculture as the foundation of our culinary offerings, recognizing that the food we consume is not only nourishment for our bodies but also an embodiment of the energy and intention we put into cultivating it.

 

Our menu features a variety of slow foods, celebrating the diversity and abundance of our food gardens. By utilizing ingredients grown on-site, we can provide our guests with the freshest and most flavorful foods while supporting the local economy and preserving Bali’s natural beauty.

 

In addition to our commitment to sustainable agriculture, we are dedicated to promoting permaculture principles throughout our business. We employ waste reduction practices and utilize renewable energy sources to minimize our environmental impact and create a more resilient and regenerative food system. We believe that by cultivating a deeper understanding and appreciation for the energetic connection between ourselves and the food we consume, we can create a more conscious and sustainable future.

OUR HOME, COMMUNITY AND PASSION

Seeking to create an eco-lodge in harmony with nature, we moved from Australia and commenced a labour of love, which has become Bali Eco Stay…our home and community. Our passion lies in inspiring our guests to live more simply in a sustainable manner.

Permaculture is at the heart of everything we do. Its design principles have allowed us to create a business, which does not exploit or pollute, thereby being sustainable in the long term.

  • Traditional Balinese families retain ownership of the land, ensuring financial and cultural security for future
  • Our on-site spring water is filtered to provide pure, mineralized water to our restaurant, food gardens, your shower and bathroom
  • The river running through Bali Eco Stay generates 65% of our
  • The chicken meat we source is both organic and pasture
  • Your meals are prepared in cast iron, stainless or glass vessels with coconut oil, olive oil or butter…we do not use
  • Our staff are local Balinese villagers, whose innate sense of warm hospitality will make your stay truly

The surrounding food forest provides a rich bounty of tropical fruits, and together with our intensive organic food gardens, generate 75% of the fresh produce served here in our restaurant. What we don’t grow, we endeavor to source from local producers or markets.
